The University Clinic is operated jointly by the Medical University of Graz and Steiermärkische Krankenanstaltengesellschaft m.b.H.. A symbiosis of patient care, research and teaching forms the uniqueness and innate value of our university hospital, which functions as a regional hospital for southern, eastern and western Styria but above all as the primary and reference hospital for the south-eastern Austrian region.
The University Hospital of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine is one of the most established and largest paediatric institutions in the country and, due to its geographical location, is the only tertiary treatment centre in Western Austria, including East Tyrol and South Tyrol.
The University Clinic of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine is consolidated under one roof with the clinics for paediatric cardiology, neonatology, and paediatric and adolescent surgery, along with an interdisciplinary paediatric intensive care unit and paediatric radiology. Physiotherapy, occupational- and logotherapy, dietary consultation and psychology round off the range of services.

The University Hospital for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine together with the University Hospital for Paediatrics and Adolescent Surgery together form the Children’s Center of the University Hospital of Paracelsus Medical Private University Salzburg.
As a large paediatric institution in Austria, it is positioned at the forefront in Europe not only in patient care but also in research.
The St. Anna Children’s Hospital has developed from what was once Austria’s first children’s hospital into a large facility that today offers state of the art medical care with a particular emphasis on paediatric cancer. Together with the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung it forms a Comprehensive Paediatric Cancer centre.
